We are a happy bunch of 30 mixed Year 1 and Year 2, who are led by Miss Moulis, Miss Willows, Mr Mooney and Mrs Pentney. We are also most grateful for Mrs Spriggs (our Lunchtime Supervisor), Mrs Newton ( our classroom's cleaner) and Mr Mastin (our caretaker).
Each week we have PE on a Wednesday and Friday.
Home learning will be sent home on a Thursday, it should be sent back in to school the following Tuesday.
We change your child's reading book on a Monday.
Miss Moulis will always make herself available to speak with parents, please do just catch her at the end of the day. If there is not time then, she will arrange another more convenient time.
The latest Sumdog competitions eagerly awaits our efforts! Come on Swallows lets improve our maths and teamwork skills! Starts Friday 17th March for 1 week only!
If you click on this link, you can access many online reading books. Some have little quizzes to compliment the curriculum too! The link takes you through the activation process, which is very easy and it is totally free.
We have taken part in the Big Schools Bird Watch for the RSPB. Did you at home? The children have shown great enthusiasm with the idea of becoming more aware of our environment and the nature within it. Watch this space for our wildlife adventures next half term!
This term we have been so successful with SumDog competition entries.
Please do log in to this site as and when your child is able for them to practise their maths skills. It adapts its questions to suit your child's ability, and then support them in making progress! We call the quick recall of facts Sumdog works on 'fluency'. Enjoy!
We had a very full World Book Day!!!
Not only did we get into character, we held a Guess My Character with Mrs Tigger and the BFG!
Tigger and the BFG's teamwork meant they guessed 22 out of 30 characters correctly.
We also thought about what the best book in the world would have to include - these were very personal responses and ranged from being about tractors, to victory, to hamsters, to needing a sprinkling of love or friendship....there were some really wonderful ideas!
Please enjoy a little glimpse of our shenanigans below!
