Mrs M Bancroft-Turner - Class Teacher and SENDCo

 

I joined Sutton St James in September 2021 as a Reception teacher. I am keen for children to learn through exploring and believe it is important for children to learn practically and in a real-life context.

I like to read and think it is key for children to enjoy the teaching of phonics to support their skills of reading in later life. As a child, I aspired to be a teacher after spending lots of time up North with my grandparents who both worked in education. I grew up in Peterborough and have travelled and lived in different places around the world. My favourite time of the year is Spring when flowers start blooming and we have more daylight hours. I love teaching at Sutton St James, the children inspire me every day and they amaze me with their individual talents.
